What I should be doing now

I’d have been probably “stickering” the cars having spent a number of nights in the man cave fannying about with my car & thinking “how many sleeps until we leave for the ferry?”
Hey ho, June seems very empty this year - I’ll just dream of a previous year’s escapades whilst I surf the web do my choice of car for when I win the Lottery.....

Sunday and Monday town are Scrutineering.
Great days to be in town. Lots happening in the square, the bars and cafes have a nice feel compared to Friday!
It's great to see the cars arrive one the edge of the square and get pushed in for their checks.
Drivers are also there and always seem happy to chat.
If you have ACO membership you can get a tour inside the Scrutineering area.
I have a couple of favourite bars that I use where I can see everything. Then a nice meal in the old town.

What happens on the Sunday before the race? Has practice started by then?

This morning I would have woken up in Saint Saturnin, dismantled my tents, head towards Tertre Rouge, have had an arrival beer, put up my gazebo, have a beer, put up tent 1, have a beer, put up tent 2 and have another beer. Time to head into town to watch scrutineering.
(This thread is kind of depressing)

Well, this year was (is?) to be my first year going to Le Mans with my sons.
I'd planned to be washing and polishing the car this weekend, putting the stickers on (I've already got some but waited to get the 'stickered up for Le Mans' items when this lock down happened).
The rest of this weekend would've been getting the camping kit ready, checking/rechecking and packing everything, and looking forward to a short week at work.
As it is, if the weather's decent next weekend I'm looking at putting the tent up in the back garden, having a bbq and watch some of the virtual race before having a 'boys' weekend camping in the garden with the kids.
If the weather crap probably a pizza, Ford v Ferrari on the dvd and a comfortable bed.
Ho hum. Hopefully an Indian summer and a race in September then.....
