I'd wait a bit yet. This year's tickets will be valid next year if it is cancelled.

No major gatherings in France until end of August. November race anyone ?

I’m not going this year so have secured next year already with our group. Must admit I do wonder if this year it will be behind closed doors or maybe not at all! Fingers crossed not though.

Just cant see it happening until a working vaccine is in full swing (possible for next yr based on latest progress updates).

I'd love it to happen Oct / Nov..or Sept

As much as I’d love it to happen this year, I’m just not sure we will feel comfortable attending a large gathering this year especially as my dad is in his 70’s now. I think we will have to move our booking to next year and miss 2020 assuming it goes ahead at all. I’ve been at Le Mans every year since 2003. The thought of missing it is painful.

I haven’t missed one since 99!! I have done several classics and a lot of the test weekends too!

Don’t think I can do later this year as work load is going to be busy due to the closedown for these months. Hopefully they cancel it all!!

If it's put back again I'm going to cancel .first one I've missed since 2006 . Sitting in a chilly ACO and camping in October etc just isn't for me .I would rather leave it

Yep. I’m booked for the Classic but only because my booking got transferred over to the new dates. Looking forward to it and hope it can actually happen.

I too am not confident enough to go this year, and think it may well be pulled. Looking at France's initial thoughts on lifting lockdown, which appear similar to those of Spain, but involves periods of re-isolation after each stage of relaxation of the current rules. They see stretching a form of lockdown into the new year, with no visitors from outside France for well into 2021, and then having to be accompanied by relevant post test health papers. They really do need to show a bit more maturity and cancel it now, because failiure to do so, is obviously going to put people at risk, as people are going to go regardless if allowed, just read the posts on here to see that. A motor race is not worth one more single life !

does anyone know what are the future plans for the classic?
They normally happen every two years on even years, 2020 then 2022 etc
With it being moved to 2021 will they now be every two years after that, 2023 being next
or would there be one in 2022 to get them back on even years?

We're looking at options now. Whilst it will be very painful to miss it this year (first since 2011), the weather plays a big part. Wouldn't feel the same if we were wrapped up to counter the September/October/November drizzle!

Hoping they cancel and we can look forward to 2021!

Just been sent an ACO survey. It starts off trying to work out what will get me to come in Sept/Oct /Nov 2020 but it goes on and on and so I gave up.

On a lighter note this: www.le-mans-guide.co.uk might bring back some great memories of the Le Mans Experience

- STAY SAFE AND SEE YOU AT THE NEXT LE MANS -

All the best

Also received the survey today. Completed no problem. I indicated I will not be attending 2020.
