Here I go again, couldn't resist!

It's LE Mans. Get that wrong and god only knows where you'd end up!

Don't go via Paris.

Just do what we did. Drive slowly when leaving the tunnel/ferry port. Wait for british sportscars to pass. Make chase. Arrive in Le Mans.

Speedchills.com have a route guide on their website. Follows the autoroutes as far as I can see. Thats what we're doing.

Back in April, the new road looked nothing like complete - and knowing the French, I'll be amazed if it's finished for next week....

Watch out for the speed cameras.

The route planner on ViaMichelin shows them.

We took a twisty route on D roads running roughly half-way between Paris and Rouen, we had great fun hooning around and enjoying some fantastic police-free roads, so will be doing it again this year

I'd guess we lose two hours or so against the autoroutes and likely spent whatever the toll charges were on the extra fuel we used.

All depends on how much time you have really...

My plan is to give the Kent boys 10 mins head start at the port ..

That should give me nice gendarme clear roads ..

Excellent site... have just made note of the two camera sites going in and out of Rouen

We've got it all figured after the incident coming back from Cardiff, Nick will be in front then we'll all tailgate him so he'll get all the flak

Thanks for the replies.... I think the best advice was, get off the ferry, wait for a group of sports cars then follow.. so if anybody is going over on p&o thurs. 16th on the 11.15 and you spot a green chimaera following you out of calais, its only me..
