Apply a small amount of vasoline(sp) to the paint before fitting the sticker. Makes it easier to remove.

Sounds like a good idea!!! I was thinking also maybe not sticking the whole lot i.e. just stick the edges.... I guess the vasoline(sp) will stop it sticking anyway, will this method also work if applying the stickers wet or would that eliminate the need for soapy water???
stickers on paint no problem. Use the vinyl stickers as said above, no real need for vaseline and polish etc just make sure the car is clean when you put the stickers on, and then as said use a hairdryer to take off. They wil come off no problems, i have the porker stickered every year and my paintwork is unaffected after a lm weekend, unlike the driver!!
Hi To all the RAF lot going to LeMans, Regarding the application of the stickers that i made for you,
One or two myths here explained.....
1, Never heard of the vasoline trick, but it might work on a moggy thousand, but could come off a TVR, (coz of the differant speeds they go), so i don't like the sound of that idea.(and will look likes se)
2, You will have no probs removing the stickers after the event, like Podie said....Just use a warm hair dryer, (not hot air paint gun !!!)you may even find that they come off ok without a hair dryer.
For those of you that have not applied vinyl stickers before, here are one or two tips.......The area must be very clean, to help in applying the stickers, spray a very light mist of water over the area, and apply the sticker over this mist, this will allow you to move the sticker should it not be quite right.
Once you are satisfied with the position, use the tools that i have provided you with to push out the water, working from the center outwards, Remember that once the water has been pushed out, you will not be able to relocate the sticker!!! as you only have one go at this.
I hope you don't up the stickers, as podie should have taught you all how to do it.(i hope)
Any probs mail me,
Dave
