Why? You can pick up general entry tickets on the gate no problem.

It's just the camping sites and grandstands that sell out in advance.

Depends when you arrive. I got there at 10:00 pm on the Friday last year and there was no queue whatsoever. I think anytime before Saturday would not be a problem for queues.

In fact IIRC I never saw a significant queue all weekend as I was wandering in and out of the track.

Certainly the queues at the Houx & Annexe end of the circuit were only about 15-20 people long. Save your Euros for beer.

You can easily buy GA tickets all weekend without queueing and wasting time. I have done that once at 15:59 on saturday.
