It’s about 35 miles so should take about, ohhh, 20 mins :D
I’ve managed to trace the route out on mappoint.com and it looks like it’s all still there and not cut up by motorways or new developments.
Basically you go north up the Mulsanne straight and follow the E502 right into Le Mans town centre. Then double back onto the D304 to Parigne-l’Eveque. After Parigne-l’Eveque turn right onto the D32 to Saint-Mars-d’Outille and then onto Ecommoy which brings you back onto the E502. Turn right onto the E502 and follow that north all the way back to Mulsanne. Voila!
I think I may try this on Friday after the Arnage meet.
Anyone tried it already?

That curcuit was not a 24hr race, to get into the first 24hr 1921 - 28 you nead to go to www.racingcircuits.net/France/LeMans21.html a slight change for '29 to '31 again changeing '32 to 67 they are all listed
Yes thanks. I know. Where did I say it was a 24 hour race?
The 1928 circuit is not that different to the current one except for the extended loop into the city centre. Everyone with a car will be doing that circuit several times over the weekend I should think.
I fancied going out for a bit of a drive. The 1906 circuit is a bit too long at over 60 miles so the 1911 circuit at about 35 miles looked like a good compromise.
I don't think the fact that the race wasn't a 24 hour one should detract from the driving experience. It's still a part of motorsport history.
