Just a quick yes or no,
Will Corvette retain the GT Class this year or will the DB9 make an entrance that could blow the class away.
Answer's on a postcard!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to think not, but unfortunately Mayhem's probably right. The 'vettes have a good few seasons' worth of experience behind them. Of course, I'd rather a bunch of lentilists in pedal-powered caravans win the class than the 'vettes, but it isn't to be, I reckon

The Astons will take the GT class win, but the Vette's always take the best sounding engine award. Awesome.

I personaly fell in love with last years C5 race car, so i'm looking forward to seeing the C6 this year. There was nothing to match the awsome sound of the cheve V8. But I certainly would'nt be too upset to see the Aston take the class. A stunning car with all the British motor racing heritage to boot, although
I do think though Astons relitive lack of experiance in this race may be they're undoing. Still I cant imagine either having much trouble from the prancing hourse, lol. Anyway, here's to an awsome looking GT class at this years Le Mans.

The panoz was loud but I did think the vette had the edge on sound. Either way ear plugs on stand by, lol.

Don't forget that the Aston is being run by Prodrive though and they seem to know a few things about the sport...

My money is on the Aston, but then I thought Herbert would catch the Goh car last year...

O/T,

Super, that bl00dy chilli is still having a go at me as well you git!

Personally, having heard the Astons at Silverstone earlier this month - they sound the dogs doodahs - much better than the Vettes....

As for who will win it - Aston only won Sebring cos the vettes dropped out - but they did beat the Vettes at Silverstone (albeit only a sprint race by comparison) - would love the DBR9 to win, but they'll have a tough race against the current best - Le Mans is a very different circuit to Sebring....

Screaming V10 Judds for me . The Zytek and RfH Domes sounded good last year, as did Shorty's Dallara.

Oh, nearly forgot, Aston vs Vette...well, it's gotta be the green machines!

both teams running new cars, although the vette team are using a car which is very similar to the C5-R but i think i'll have to give it to the aston's (prodrive, two great teams of drivers, quite similar to the 550).

if prodrive have followed the same kind of aero as the 550 before then expect the DBR9 to rule down the mulsannes, the vettes couldnt live with them in a straight line.

Based on sebring and the FIA races I reckon it will go to the Aston's but it will be a very close call.

Saw the Astons racing last years C5-R at the Tourist Trophy at Silverstone a couple of weeks ago. The C6-R is faster than the C5-R, but only has 3 races under it's belt.
I believe the vette and astons will be very closely matched, it will come down to pit stops and problems as to who wins. The one thing you can put your money on is the vettes will finish.......and as the old addage says "to finish first....first you have to finish"
As Prodrive are prepping the Astons I beleive they will run the vettes close but obviously I hope the vettes win!

Aston's look fantastic but sound like an angry wasp on speed.
Not sure about the C6-R looks but I know they will sound fine....I prefer the look of the C5-R.

One other concern maybe that of the Masarati. Has looked good in recent races and has been pushing the vette all the way. It may be a three horse race after all. Still my money's on the vette!!!!!!!!!! And ear plugs lol.
