I have an idea that to get into Houx Annexe you have to go through the main entrance and under the track near the village, is this correct? I know are French friends try their best to sign post the routes to the camp sites but through years of experience I know these are a pants form of navigation! I usually camp at Tetre Rouge and the entrance to this changed a few years ago, it was hours before we could find the new route. Any help much appreciated.

No, you approach from the North East and cross under the Mulsanne (aka the N138) at Tetre Rouge. From memory I think you follow the signs for Parking Vert for both Houx and Houx Annexe.

MM You are right, the sign posts are for Green, these are often quite misleading.

Basically if you are heading South from the City centre coming along the drag with McDonalds on your left along with the Supermarket you carry on along and as soon as you get onto the circuit (with the Tetre Rouge pub on your left) there is a turning in on your right, this drops down back on yourself, then turn left, past a few houses then take the fork left and Houx Annexe will then be on you left.

When the race is on, as you approach the circuit your will be ushered left, you then immediately turn right down the steep slope, then turn right, past Tetre Rouge pub on your right and follow above directions past houses.

I'll be on the Annexe from Friday

How high is the access under the Mulsanne or is there a way around it? We are taking a vintage double decker that I would rather not convert into an open topper!

You won't get under the Mulsanne...... so, do you know the circuit well?

I was in the process of running though an alternative, but there isn't one when the circuit is in use! Both ways in to Houx Annexe go under bridges!

You will have to go in before the race starts, so during the days Wednesday/Thursday or anytime Friday and leave late Sunday pm........

I'll keep an eye open for the bus though

Don't know about the other sites but we had an absolute bugger of a time finding our way into T.Rouge last year, even the marshalls in dayglo tabards (I friggin hate tabards!) couldn't help us.
Didn't realise the only way in is to hop backwards down the Mulsanne Straight wearing a white carnation whistling tunes from Les Miserables, whereupon the magical portal will appear from out of nowhere with some surly Gitane smoking get manning the gate.
