What’s the bare minimum camping equipment you can get away with for Le Mans? I’m thinking:

Tent
Sleeping bag
Sleeping roll
Pillow
Tent lantern
Portable chair
Shoulder bag

Last two for carrying round the circuit. Anything else I’m missing apart from change of clothes and bathroom stuff?

Forgot to add: Radio and camera!

Insect spray, bottle opener (or teeth!), cooking equipment (circuit food can be expensive!) a cheap camping stove + pans for the bacon butties (washing up bowl optional) cutlery + mug, flexible keep cold for beer.

Our moto :- Travel light

Karen
Plus enough car spares to open our own branch of Halfords.

Edited to include :- this year we are taking the even bigger party gazebo, 2x6 metre flags + poles, swimming pool, generator, PA system, rope lights, disco ball, projector (for the Surrey Run DVD cinema experience).

Nah... will be doing all the eating and drinking at or near the circuit so no need to faff around with camping stoves, cool boxes and all that cr*p

Fly spray is a good idea plus sun cream. Forgot about that... very important after last year!

Not that I'm surrounded by the blasted things at home, but Huggies are great - still have my pack of Le Huggies in the garage for hand cleaning

How we got all this in the back of the Coupe I'll never understand!

Another month and we'll chuck it all in the Korean Missile again and head due south! At least it's a 2.0 this year and not a puny 1.6...

A boot, that's luxury, we managed to get everything in an S3 boot one year, with the roof inside the boot too, thank god for soft bags!

Last year it was like being in the support vehicle, even had a beer chiller in the back, after setting up camp, we opened a few cold ones to chill out to
