Need pilot & plane for Thursday early evening???

I'm supposed to be driving down on Thursday morning with a convoy, unfortunately 2 of us have to be in Southampton until about 6pm same day. We were looking to fly to Paris and train it down.

Does anybody know of someone with a plane that can get 2 of us in with a little luggage? How much would this cost to fly us straight into Le Mans as the circuits right next door???

Hmm might be able to help. It just depends on final figures.

Im flying currently there are 11 including my self which is 2x6 seaters. But if the 4 seater im after is ready by then, then I can get hold of 3 planes do 2 lots in 4 seater twins and one lot in a 6 seater.

Cost would be around 250 to get there and back.

Plan that where doing is leaving saturday, (one group comming back sunday) and another group back monday after staying in jersey on the sunday night.

Also is that £250 per head? We only need to fly down, i'm sending a car down with the rest of the convoy so that'll get us back.

wouldnt be able to go down on the thursday im afraid, as my slots are for saturds. Price would be approx per head.

Understand that you will be getting very drunk so im sure you will find a lift from someone to get you there otherwise

I've got my car being driven down Thursday morning so it'll be there so i can drive it back. Its just we've got this damn date clash and can't change either. We're working until about 5ish so that'll give us time to get to the airport. Price doesn't sound too bad considering its straight in.

Is there an alternative to finding someone who can fly us doon thar??

Don't know if this helps but you could get a foot passenger ticket from Portsmouth to Caen for about 80 quid and a train from Caen to Le Mans for 20 Euros.
Wouldn't be as fast as a plane obviously but desperate times call for desperate measures and all that.

Why not just try and cadge a ride down from somebody on Friday morning?

You're close to the ports so that shouldn't pose too much of a detour for somebody.

I really wanna be down there for Thursday night or early Friday, don't wanna miss the parade.

I might just fly to Paris and train it from there down, will rock up a bit late Thursday but it'll mean i'll sleep well that night.

Check out Ryanair.com, they had very cheap flights going into Tours when I looked the other day.

Thats sounds like a wise choice. You wouldnt have been able to function properly knowing that le mans was going on and you wasnt there in time.
