Try ringing Ferrysavers up and ask them what they have got left. Dover-Calais might still have some spaces.

We have for the past 3 years but you tend to find that most of the best camping spots have gone by the time you arrive !

Thought you'd still find something with Eurotunnel - we're still getting availability for Thursday, I think we booked someone on yesterday...

I've just looked at the Sea France website and you can get a ferry on Thursday morning returning Monday for about £90. Don't know if this helps.

Also in Surrey!

Be warned though that although the websites may still listing the crossings, they may not be available when you try and book them (I learned this with the speedferries website)

I booked a crossing from Dover to Dunkirk with Norfolk Line on the Thursday, and back on the Monday, both at arround 2 pm. £54 return for car and two passengers.

Dunkirk is only about 15 miles up the coast from Calis, so thought the saving was worth it?

Just a suggestion....

Dunkirk to Le Mans is 300 miles, if you havent driver in France before you will have to allow 5 hours, although it does depend on what you driving.

At least you will have a chance to have a sleep befor, your journey back.

One word of warning then you start driving in France it will be on your mind to stay on the other side, many an accident has happened after filling up with petrol etc, the mind switches off and you find yourself back in the UK driving on the LEFT

Driven loads in France mainly in the Apls on snow, so not concerend and in a couple of M5's and an SL AMG it should be a doddle,

(except the SL will probably break down)
