Hotel in Rouen - Any recommendations?
Discussion
checkour accorhotels.com - and search on Rouen - they are a massive chain with various brands, from very cheap to mid market, from experience they are all clean, if a little bland. Formule 1 tend to be on out of town shopping parks in proximity to Buffalo Grills. If parking is dodgy in the area they have secure (code operated) gates.
We stayed at the 'Hotel du Vieux Marche' for a night on a bike trip last year. right in the centre of rouen (by the old market!) and has a courtyard so parking is quite secure. i think it was about £50 (booked via expedia.co.uk) for a double room b+b. it was comfortable, clean and friendly.

I stayed at the Formula 1 on the outskirts of Rouen 2 years ago. Parking is secure but it didn't stop someone trying to break in to the car, they took a screwdriver to the locks, before putting it through a rear tyre when they couldn't get in. Opening the boot to get the spare revealed the fact they had tried lifting the spoiler to open the boot, however it had broken instead!
Getting a new tyre turned out to be a 24 hour wait, so take care in the Rouen area. The good news was that Subaru Assist put me up for the night, and paid for dinner! The bad news was my car had the fridge, BBQ, cooking equipment for my group so they went hungry!
The other good news was that without being shackled by travelling in convoy with a diesel 306 once I had a new tyre, and had checked the spoiler was purely decorative I was able to get a high speed run from Rouen to Le Mans.
Many thanks to the bikers who realised I was on my own so couldn't see to overtake and let me follow them. When it was clear to go they pulled right over to the overside of the road to let me know it was clear!

Stayed in there Twice on the way back with a crowd and had no problems, fenced in Car park with Gate that needs a card to get out. Sorry to here you had that Sh1T. Is a bit out the way though, and you have to drive to neares Bars/restuarants.
