Couldn't get into the Houxe Annexe this year...so we had to settle for Chapelle.....has anyone camped here before? Is it really as bad as I hear? Are there any facilities at all?Or is it a walk down to the H.A for a S.S.SHAVE?

I know its a tad noisy !! Someone mentioned it has been extended further in towards Houxe Annexe...anyone know anymore?

cheers

I've camp'd there several times, always enjoyed it.

It's a bit dusty, so try to get under the trees - the shade is worth it.

You have water & power points.

There's a brick building for showers and toilets (hole in the ground type - but the disabled one has a seat!

It's very near the Dunlop Bridge & track, so quick access from your tent. The down side is the noise when you want to sleep. I always use foam ear plugs they seem to do the trick. If not, cop a load of alcohol!

Access to this location by car changes each day and the stewards never know which way to send you! Can be very annoying! It helps if you can argue in French.

Besides all that, there are quite a few regular campers there, so it’s good to socialise and join in the evening parties!
