Anyone else on our overnight Ferry ?

At the moment our convoy is looking like:

btw I would post which ferry i'm going on but my memory is bloody awful so i've forgotten

Sorry for the delay in replying.

Theoretically it will do 42 flat out in 4th. However, with the clutch in, downhill and a bit of a following wind we've hit an estimated 75 - 80 mph. Scary as shit, but very funny. The big problem of course is that at those speeds you can't stop. Try the brakes and they overheat in seconds and as for letting the clutch out, well doubling the maximum revs is a major no no.

Of course that was done on a private test track and no on the public roads.
