Im thinking of going to Le Mans for the first time next year. Any advice on the best time to go, where to camp and things not to miss. Will probably go on the bike with a couple of mates in a car or two.

Go down no later than Thursday morning as after that the best camping slots are taken and you don't want to miss the Friday parade in LeMans town centre.
Camping: Maison Blanche, Houx or Houx Annexe. Book the campsite now if you can.

Other things not to miss:- The Race

gsxrblue,
Fell free to hook up with us on our trip down, you appear to be from my neck of the woods so to speak
We usually book via the TVRCC this way we get a block of camping pitches together (usually Houx), even if we don't all travel down at the same time. This year we had the comforts of a motorhome, not made any plans for next year though, but will be going one way or another

Don't forget to spend some time watching cars and bikes on mad Friday as they perform burnouts and evade the police at various points along Indianapolis.
