Discussion
So at last the big companies are starting to reduce their profits with an eye on competing with SpeedFerries.

Had to happen didn't it !
Speedferries are obvously a pain in their arse. Judging by the programme the other night, their dirty tricks failed so they're gonna try to price them out rather than shut them out ! All very good for the consumer though !!
Possibly a short-term strategy to get SpeedFerries out of business before returning to their previous rip-off prices
Personally, as long as speedferries keep their prices at the current level I'll keep using them. I've been shafted too many times by the big companies to give a flying 5hit about any special offers because as soon as they get things their own way again then everything will go back to the way it was before.

I'd agree with that, if the SpeedFerries service does the job they'll be getting my business, the fella at the top seems open and honest, and that would I'd imagine be reflected throughout his business.
I suggested to the MD's of P&O, Seafrance, Brittany Ferrets about two years ago that unless they did this they'd be out of business.
I got standard issue crap replies back.
Oh look P&O have got ridden of all their boats, oh look a newcomer has come on the scene & I to wish that newcomer the best of luck & will be making use of them as much I possibly can, despite previously being one of P&O's best customers.
Innovate or die

Did somebody mention that there's only one boat in their fleet?
If so, can you imagine the consequences of this boat suffering a problem, say some time in June, which meant it was out of action for a week?
