Given that SpeedFerries are totally full for Monday 20th, we're now travelling back on the 21st.

Will we be able to stay in the Le Mans campsite until the Tuesday morning or will we be kicked out on Monday?

I will probably book somewhere nearer the ferry anyway, just useful to know.

Seeing as the official sites resemble the Somme by the Sunday night, I'd not want to be there on the Monday, you'd wake up on Tuesday and find your car on bricks...

I doubt you'd get turfed off but the toilets and water will probably not be available after Monday morning.

It's probably worth stopping off either at another campsite nearer Calais or spending a few Euros on a hotel room. The F1 chain have rooms at bargain rates.

Dunno about the campsites, but what I'm suggesting to anyone in our party if they are stayin longer is a route back south of Paris taking in perhaps old Reims racetrack or Epernay (both directly east from Paris) and an easy blast back to Boulogne.

We stayed over on a Monday night a few years back and it was pretty daunting. I'm glad that there were 12 of us because the site was full of scavenging pikies and I wouldn't have trusted them not to gang up and steal our gear.

I suggest you move a proper campsite or get a room in a cheap hotel.

We're also getting the Tuesday Speedferries return trip so we thought we would head off Monday, tour around a bit and find somewhere else to stay Monday night, roughly on the way back to Bologne - good opportunity to explore a bit...

I presume you don't mean the proper campsite at the track, as Houx suffers from pikies too, Sunday evening as soon as a few people start to go they appear

And the pikeys will take anything, top tip is if you've got an empty bottle of whiskey, fill it up with pi** as a special after diner treat for them

I can imagine games filling different bottles of spirits for them, had a diet of red-wine, then perhaps you could imitate brandy

Our group left at midday on the Monday last year, and found the water & loos still working . Will do the same this year. Had to book our travel package in December so as not to be caught out!
