Will be taking the Diesel Golf next year (or Toureg is I change it within the next 6 months!), so no need to plan for Fuel stops

Going out on the 16th, returning on the 20th. Dover - Boulogne

Not doing so myself, as we all live in NW Kent so its no too far to drive.

However, quite a few of those who would have used the now defunct Portsmouth (to Le Havre?) crossing will most likely be, and now you've suggested a hotel might well join you!
