I've never booked direct before but was intending to this year.

I have heard of people having trouble getting their tickets, though. What are other people's experiences?

If you book early enough (now is probably too late) then you will get what you want. The biggest headache is the ACO officially taking the line that the race isn't confirmed until the New Year, so you can never get a booking confirmation until then. The ticket agencies will be able to give a definite decision on what they have in stock but you pay for that priviledge.

I booked directly last year. Seemed to get them after just about everybody else ! but they turned up and all was 100%.

Myself and some friends fancy it this year, this whole ticket palava is causing some confusion, why can't you just go on a website and buy the bloddy things.

Question is should we buy direct, go with TVR car club or go with another organiser.

Anybody got an ideas?

If you want specific tickets then book through an agency, otherwise take pot luck ordering through the ACO.

You can always telephone the ACO, they speak good English and can give you an instant idea of availability.

Go for the TVR car club... if you cannot, then try "Just Tickets" ... or hold out until the last minute, and hope to get some cancellations.

Ive done it all ways (oer!)

Mason Blanche / is one of the most favoured sites IMHO

Jeez, I never realised there was such a difference in the costs of campsites – naively I thought they cast the same...

€75 to park at Houx - I guess they ask the extra €37 over Houx Annexe for all the dust we bring home to the UK
