Wanted: Camping site / information

Hi folks Going to Le Mans for the first time this year and am getting concerned about finding somewhere to camp. Any campsites that I can phone & book a pitch with now ? or are they all well sold out ? What is Blue parking ? Please help & make this less of a headache! Thanks Giles GB

You won't get a camping ticket now, unless someone has one excess to requirements. General enclosure tickets are no problem you can either buy them when you turn up or drop me your address off line to [e-mail] coz I have a spare one (I had to buy two with each camping ticket even though I didn't need them) which should arrive soon. The Blue parking thing confuses me I thought that you weren't allowed to camp in there, but a few people seem to have achieved this sucessfully in the past. Whatever else happens make the effort and get there. You will not regret it. Dave

You might get lucky getting a camping ticket from one of the ticket agencies eg. Page and Moy, Airtrack etc. Keep your eyes on the forums at http://www.club-arnage.com where people can advertise excess tickets. As for camping in the parking lots, if you get one of the reserved spots rather than just the standard parking, then your marked out area is large enough for a car and a tent. There is no bother about pitching up for the weekend, but they might get shirty if you camp all week.
