I am having a great deal of trouble booking tickets for 2005 ideally with camping at Maison Blanche.

Most of the ticket agents have sold their allocation already and tell me to book for 2006.

Anyone else had this problem or better still any suggestions for who I should try.

I believe the ACO form does not give much choice of camping.

The race date is still provisional so presumably the ACO have not yet released any tickets

If you book with the ACO you can give a 1,2,3 type preference for camping tickets and they will provisionally assign you whatever is available but waitlist you for your number one choice pretty much until raceweek.

Normally the ACO send tickets out between the practice day and the race (unless you ask them to send them early) but this year they will no doubt send them early to everyone as there is only the week between practice and the start of race week.

The specific problem with Maison Blanche (in my experience) is the ACO sell nearly the whole allocation to the ticket agencies, so if you are having no luck with them, then you might be out of luck.

Nearer the time you will usually find tickets for sale on here or on Club Arnage at face value. There were MB tickets around last year.

The cars clubs haven't received their allocation yet, so I think its just the spaces the ACO sell directly that have gone.

Try one of the various booking companies detailed in this forum, or you could go through a car club that organised Le Mans trips.

Don't know if there is an Ultima club that organises something, that'd be a mean site, a convoy of Ultimas blasting down the French D roads

Don't fret,
There are usually tonnes/Tons of tickets available on here and ebay closer to the time, try doing a search and see all the posts from last year.

Tales abound of those who decided to got the weekend before and sorted it out without problems, Schozz and Psychobert did this last year and stayed in Houz Annexe as I recall.

They are more worried about getting your money for 2006 than telling you this I guess

Must admit, I'm going for the book ferry well in advance, then worry about camping tickets closer to the date - there seemed to be plenty around last year.
