Does anyone have a photo or two of what was left of the Beamer after it used a 2CV as it's brakes at the junction just down the road from Le Houx campsite on the Friday night around 11 o'clock?

No, but heard that the guy in the Beamer got slapped with a great big fine and a night in a cell.

a nurse in our group was metres away when it happened,
she helped the old guy out of the wreckage he was in shock and was sped away in an ambulance. The beemer guy
was handcuffed and taken away, she thought the guy had been drinking as well. The 2CV shunted a range rover
up the rear, not much left of it by all accounts

We were standing a couple of metres away when the accident happened. The Beemer was crumpled flat back to the front wheel arches, but the 2CV survived astonishingly well - no boot left, but passenger cabin almost intact, albeit missing most of its glass. Not too much damage to the Rangie.

Both the Rangie and 2CV were French, the Beemer was English, and the Gendarmes understandably took a dim view of the whole thing. Scary stuff.

The BM driver had apparently just raced and passed a motorcyclist along the straight and rounded the corner to find several cars stopped waiting for a passage through the 'burn-out' section. His passenger, I'm told, the husband of the screaming blonde, jumped out and ran off!!
