Cheap Dover to Calais Crossings

Been searching around and it looks like either prices have gone up substantially or that the 2005 discount haven't happened yet.

Looking at a 06:00 tunnel crossing on Thursday 9th and returning at 18:00 on Monday 13th and the best I've been quoted is £179 where-as last year I did it for £111...

I've tried different times (01:30 depart, 23:30 return) to see if that affects the prices but alas not

Ideally we want to travel by Le Shuttle, but if its worth the saving will consider anything short of a catapult!

I'd recommend SpeedFerries.

Don't know what the prices are, but they work on a first come, cheapest ticket principal

used speedferries earlier in the year - from memory, it's 25quid each way - apart from an engine fire!!!! they were fine - they have 4 engines, so loosing 1 didn't seem to upset the captain too much!

Christ the prices are good, just not many crossing

The £50 package would mean leaving Boulogne at 00:30 or 10:30 - I'd be way over the limit to make either of those crossings!

Speedferries are good, we've used them 8 times over this summer.

Their tickets for Le Mans week are not on sale yet.

Prices start at £25 (earliest booked) rising to around £60 each way regardless of length of stay.

Biggest problem for Le Mans week will be ground clearance. Your low-slung car will hit the on-ramp, and there's no possibility of an angled attack due to the narrow ramp width.

We are in touch with the operators often and will be requesting an additional ramp board to smooth the initial on-ramp bump for Le Mans week - will keep everyone posted.
