How long, how far?

It can take anywhere from 3 1/2 to 5 hours!! Depending on the route you take, when you travel and of course how fast you drive!!
Distance, about 270 miles I think, from Calais to Le Mans which means I've got to fill up once on the way!!
Just found this site, which has a route planner...
www.thisistravel.co.uk/travel/tools/route_frame.html
You can choose Continental Europe from the dropdown..
It confirms that it's about 414 KMs which is about 260 Miles..
thanks

Sensibly it's about 6 to 6 1/2 hours. That's not going tonto down the autoroute, keeping up a reasonable pace on the single carriageway stuff, and taking into account a couple of stops.
I did it in 5 hours (including a "nature" stop" and a splash and dash to get me to Calais - fuel is *much* more expensive on the autoroutes that at supermarkets !!) on Monday, and that was starting from a placed called Ecommoy which is a bit to the south of Le Mans.
