Hotels close to Le Mans?

Thoroughly dissapointed that I couldn't make it to Le Mans '04 so trying to get myself organised for '05.
I realise that I am going to have to book very early to get a hotel close to Le Mans so if anyone could shed any light on where to locate a decent one I would be very, very grateful!

Depends how expensive you want to go. We stayed at the Ibis (Pontielieu or something) on the west side of the town for the testing in April. Think it was quite reasonable - it is near the Carrefour hypermarket.

Yes, we are doing a fantastic trip, it can be booked through PH calendar, through our web site or by phone. Places are going fast, so hurry!
