Martin Short has secured a drive in one of the JMB Ferrari 360 Modenas for this years race.

Go Shorty, go!

Good practice for that Tuscan R entry next year ....

See www.dailysportscar.com for full details.

excellent news, good luck to him in the race. Reading autosport they are saying the 360's are fast and if they last could prove a decent challenge to some of the fastest Porsches in GT

i shall not feel so bad now about going in a Ferrari rather than a TVR this year

should be a good race what with several 360's and the massively fast prodrive 550 maranello

Just had it confirmed by 'Shorty'. He's in car No 70.

I feel he may be building up to entering a TVR for next year. Given the number of TVRCC members who go down each year it would be something special.

would be good to see a TVR racing, but i guess it costs £2-300k all in for a single race.

not 100% but there may also be some regulatory problems as the GT regs require at least 25 road going cars to have been produced, which would mean getting 25 Tuscan R's on the road inside a year.

How has the Morgan Aero 8 managed to pass the requirements then? (have they built that many race specc cars?)

And anyway how can Morgan afford to enter Le Mans?

I'm looking forward to seeing MG kick Audis butt and the Prodrive 550m kick the Corvettes&Vipers butts

morgan has built 25 Aero 8's, The Tuscan R is a different shape and length from a normal tuscan though...ie.higher roof, longer roof line etc...all of which are subject to comparison with the road car of which 25 must have been built.

this is why bm are not racing the V8 M3 this year
