Le Mans 2005 and a Stag do

A friend is getting married next year and has suggested Le Mans as something he would like to do 
None of us has been before so would like some answers and advice please
1) where and when are tickets available?
2) camping, is that ontop of ticket price or a seperate booking or just turn up and pitch?
3) best places to go which aint too far from facilities etc?
4) any extra activities apart from beer and cars

Hmmm. It sounds like a good idea - except for one very important thing. The men to women ratio! There used to be a caravan in the fairground where you could pay!!
If you still want to go, I'd go through an organised motor tours company like Page and Moy or similar. They can sort the whoel deal, but you will end-up paying more.
There is a karting circuit next to the race track, if you get bored of beer and cars (weirdo).

I seem to remember a thread last year discussing where to go to find the ladies now that they don't perform at the fair. I seem to recall there were places in Le Mans town. Try the search facility.
I would suggest you hire a minibus and do it yourself albeit through a tour company, this will give you a bit more freedom and allow you to buy / carry more beer.
As an idea for your stag, one of my friends had his stag do down there. They got him completely trolleyed on champagne and then sellophaned him naked to a tree right next to the circuit - class.

had my stag there in 98 (I think)
bloody brilliant
12 boys in a minibus; ferry overnight on friday night from portsmouth so one good nights sessioning; arrived at circuit late morning saturday for a big day on saturday
it works well for a stag as even non-petrolheads will get the rare groove of the whole atmosphere; one of my best mates has been converted and now takes the weekend more seriously than I do
have a great time (and don't let them make you do a naked bungee)
