We are thinking about taking a Winnebago or similar to Le Mans next year.

Has anybody here done this? Any advice/experience you would like to share?

Thanks.

To get the most out of it, try and get a pitch on the Houx campsite with the electricity plug-ins.

Having a motorhome adds a little civility, but hiring them is v expensive.

Yeah, a bunch of guys from the bike-engined-cars Yahoo Group took one over this year and are apparently planning to do it again.

Simon Neill is the organiser, either contact him via the list or drop me an email.

Have a look here for some rates. Not sure if these are typical, but useful for reference.

A big motor home is great, but you need a car too otherwise you are stuck where you camp (or risk losing your space). Went in a motor home tow years ago and had a good time, took a car and trailer tent this year and enjoyed the ability to go elsewhere - the plan for next year is the motor home and a car.
