Any PHers taking to the track next weekend at the Classic Le Mans?

Myself and Bobo W will be taking to the track to both realise a life long ambition...... Keep an eye open for a Burgundy E Type and Metallic Blue Caterham.

It is likely the Houx Annexe roundabout Europa will be taking to the track too, mind you he knows his way around Indianapolis and Arnage already!

Cheers,
Mark B

I've heard it's possible but haven't confirmed how yet!

Any clues are greatly appreciated.

Are you booked in to a club for the parking within the classic area?? If so, you are able to go to the club liaison office within the Le Mans village, the lap access pass is 100 euros for 2 laps, seems steep but still worth it to redeem a lifetime ambition.

If you are not linked to a club you may have trouble. If this is the case, drop me an email and I will get you linked to ours and give you the numbers, etc for a pass.... you will need to be driving something 'special' though, no rif raf!

Our group so far consists of 2 x E Types, 2 x Caterhams, Elise, Europa, MGB V8 and a Merc Sl320 (?)....

Thanks for the info Mark. We're going in my friends Ferrari Spider. I know he was going to speak to the Ferrari Owners Club about it but I don't think they have a presence there themselves this year. We are camping on Maison Blanche, arriving Friday lunchtime leaving Monday.

I'll check whether he has made any progress with the FOC and get back to you.

I will be out there in my brand new (picking up on Thursday) M3.

cheers very much

I'll drop them a line and see if I can wangle another priority parking ticket out, that then enables the booking of track laps...

Hi

I think it's too late for track laps.
Concerning tickets and parking, you'll find all info you need on the following url :

www.classicdriver.com/upload/images/_uk/12109/plan.pdf

www.classicdriver.com/upload/images/_uk/12109/programme.pdf

If you have a "special" car such as a TVR, you can join a special parking cars but I don't know where it will be exactly.

The event will be massive, already impressive two years ago.

See U there.

I'll see if I can do anything about the parking, but can't promise anything.

Camping - Try Accor Hotels website and look at anything locally, but expect to be dissapointed I booked ours 4 months ago and tried a lot of hotels.

Definately go though, it will be stonking!

I checked on Friday, track laps are still available as long as you are already in the priority parking areas.

I think the 'special' parking areas are only available to people as part of a club not an arrive and park routine!

I was there 2 years ago and you're right this year will be bigger and better, can't wait.

Guys, looks like i've got hold of a gite 25mins away for a week.
Can't wait! Give us a wave if you see a dark blue cerb with black & silver reg plates (67639- Guernsey).
(hopefully not at the side of the road with the bonnet up!"
I presume we can pay on entry - or will we need to book & have tickets? Sorry if this is janet & John stuff, but we're le mans virgins!
Darren.
