Was trying to get the remnants of the Le Mans flies off the car the other day and decided that it would be time to get the car park pass off from the inside of the wind screen.

What a pain in the ar5e! Worse than any pay and display sticker. Can that taking some time to carefully scrape the glue and paper off.

This must have happened to everyone else was in the main car parks. Any tips for the best way of scraping it off? (mental note for next year to only wet the corners)

My tip: don't even try to take it off. I left last year's sticker on for the whole year. When they let me through this year with the old sticker still in the window I realised that this was a great idea. It saved me some money for the beer.

Ah Stuart, a beer and schnapps. We call that a small set menu in Germany.

so the idea is to drink the beer, white spirit and nail varnish and then just breath on the sticker.

not for too long though or the windscreen will melt!

Next year only expose a miniscule section of the sticky stuff and then your problem is solved.

Learnt my lesson last year and had to use my talons last year to prise the stuff off. It drove me mad.

White spirit or surgical spirit.

Edited to say smear a bit of vaseline on the window before sticking it on next year.

I never stick mine on, just drive through with it on dash, never let them take it off you and stick it on, just shout le Villian in a usless French accent and do some arm movements... allways works for me, Plus you can then keep them for next year

My dad just ripped it off and didn't bother to remove the bits that stayed on. He doesn't really care what his car is like.

In regard to The Le Mans car park pass glue problem, just keep a small roll of masking tape in the glovebox and use that to attach instead. A friend of mine has still has the damn stuff on his windscreen from last year !

Have to say , it another excellent Le Mans. I'll never forget being in the slipstream of an F40 on the Thursday morning. Shame i had the camera packed away and it was monsoon weather at the time !

Also hope the Lambo C' (with an interesting number plate 'Diving' hmmm!) seemed to have clutch bother in the roadwork laden N138 on the Monday trip, made the ferry. bummer to break down in such a motor.

Many cars were 'pressing-on' due to the roadworks, as one 911 Turbo obviously had an ealier calais ferry to catch, as I can't remember being flashed to move over...at 120mph!

WD40 works everytime. Leave it to soak for 5 mins go drink scnapps sniff some nail varnish or anything else you can think of to pass 5 min and then come back and use a cloth to wipe off.

Use a stanley knife blade.
This is the best thing for cleaning glass, and wont scratch it. You'll get it off in 10 secs :-)

White spirit and rubbing with a cloth. Works every time as white spirit dissolves the glue!
