the Hants lot are right, these 4 litre chims must be slow. Just walked in the door. Seems a while back now but I have a blurred recollection that LM 2004 was another corker.

Cheers to all those who I met, both old and new.

car behaved faultlessly mate, although a little too much luggage and duty free in the boot on the way home from Andorra meant the rear suspension semi-collapsed. The shocks appear to have broken entirely! It meant a very slow journey home and an "interesting" drive around the mountains as we went from Andorra to France. 60 - 70mph throughout the rest of France which was a bit of an arse. Will post some pics soon.

Great to see you again and we must sort something out soon vis a vis - we can always go somewhere else if the yacking continues...

quality mate! the YMCA dancing as we drove down the mulsanne was top drawer! we tried syncronising with mel in the griff behind us but to no avail. Was great to meet you, just a shame we had to shoot off. Would be great to meet up again. Hope you are at Pistonfest? Although looking doubtful I will be in the Chim as the suspension was pretty much non-existent after andorra so we limped home with knocking noises all the way home and no rear suspension.

Hi Phil,

Great to meet you and Claire at Le Mans, how was the castle?

Are you both going to the next Hants meet?

We are probably going to make it with a couple of S's from Berks.

Say hello to Claire for me.

This is Joely BTW.

Telling me, those 4ltr chimps are slow , the rest of us have been back for nearly a week now .
Obviously if you didn't permanently keep the golf bats in the boot as well as the duty free plonk you wouldn't have oveloaded the suspension .
Glad you made it back eventually, see you at the next meet/blat .

Harry

Glad it went well, have to catch up with you later on the details and any tips you can pass on for the Euro driving.

Whats the book at the end of the bed?

duty free plonk you know I dont touch alcohol Harry

suspension was perhaps a little overloaded and rather pushed on the single carriageway blast down to le mans with a convoy of me, mel in the griff 500, bennno in his new porker 996 and flasher in the maserati. good drive though and managed to avoid getting caught by the gendarme although did have a pant filling moment when 2 stepped out into the road as i approached. For one reason or another I had eased off at that point and they just stood out, looked and then gave a cheeky look and waved us on. no doubt waiting for the bigger speeders as we were only about 30kph over the limit at that point. Would have been shameful for only a 4 litre chim to have been caught speeding

will post a report of our travels later once I get a chance. catch you at the next meet Harry. Need to get the suspension sorted asap and then its wheel refurb and rolling road tuning so quite fancy a chat....

euro driving mate. what a blast. Shame my webspace isnt enough to post the video shot coming out of andorra and around the mountains. Great footage, including overtakes - all to the tune of great escape and the self-preservation society. Although I ommitted the pipe and flat cap.
