Whos idea was it to put them on the same weekend?

Surely it would be better if they were a weekend apart so they could perhaps get more spectators for both or maybe for a bit of TV coverage for the Nurburgring and be able to see both circuits with endurancing racing on?

Interesting! We could have done a week in Le Mans and then a week in Germany! I would love to see the state of my feet after that. We all sustained injuries. Ben took half his ankle off when a burning log fell off the BBQ. Andy dropped a huge lump of hot wax off a garden candle onto his hand and then it egnighted the blister was huge. I just buy the Le Mans DVD and hope for the best I am on it. Chimaera S3TAY.

Also they are quite different endurance races.

Nurburgring looking more "enduring". Don't about 230 cars start and theres a hundred and something corners on the Nordschliefe track. Whereas Le Mans seems more spectator friendly since the track is tiny compared to the German one

a mate has done both as a spectator and the n-ring is the more relaxed event where you can get much closer to the action than you can at LM...

edited to say isnt lm about 8 miles and n-ring about 14..
