Bumped into Luca Brazzi yesterday in Tescos. The conversation started by him showing us a copy of Autosport (we made three pages!). Those large TVR flags certainly stood out. Still can't quite believe we managed to get them as close to the podium as we did. A big thanks to Duncan who masterminded the run to the rolex.

We phoned home to hear screams of "You're on the telly!". The photos are on their way.

What a fantastic result!. Congratulations to all involved. I need to sleep for a week to get over this one.

Karen

Thanks to the Surrey (and outer Surrey!) crowd who made Maison Blanche so special. I think we raised the regions profile

I popped in and said hello with a promise to come back later. When I did come back it was all quiet so you were either out or in bed. I think it was past midnight on race night and I could sleep so wondered down to the start line to get some night shots.

Hi Dusty. Great to meet you. Sorry nobody was home. We were all out and about. I went down to the Porsche curves, Steve was at the pits, etc. A top time was had by all.

Seconded....as official No2 Flag monitor I can confirm that it is bloody knackering running from the gate to the Rolex carrying a 20m flag whilst avoiding non-running pikeys. Also Duncan runs like a bleeding antelope and was difficult to catch whilst I was trying to swallow hard enough to get my heart back into my chest cavity....great time though and the track invasion was a great idea....Go TVR !

Dont forget Karen - Alton Towers next - tell Steve no need to bring the flags tho.....arf....(Monkeh nomex suit in the design stages already)

Absoulautely! The most knackering part was getting a 30ft pole with flags through a gate in the fence that is covered with barb wire
DID ANYONE SPOT A FLAGPOLE WITH TVR AT THE TOP FOLLOWED BY A PISTONHEADS FLAG FOLLOWED BY A UNION JACK AND THEN ST GEORGE CROSS???????????????? That was I. The wind was making it very heavy and whats worse is that i have not seen any T.V. Footage to try and spot myself. I may have to wait for the DVD to come out.

A bit late I know, but where do you get a decent collapsable/telescopic pole from? I've tried my local fishing shops.... no luck.

You guys should have heard all the professional photographers bitching about your flags getting in the way of their podium shots when they got back to the media centre! I guess they just should have got there earlier! Well done TVR and all you flag waving nutters!

I have a short film (low res) taken from the pit wall as you all run down the main straight. I was laughing so hard the picture is a bit wobbly, but you'll get the idea. I'll try and post it.

We got a telescopic fishing pole from Carfour at around 15 euros, and it extends to about 15 foot.

On the Autosport side I saw those TVR flags, go some nice pics on the site and could just about make myself out in the crowd, me and chris are bold and standing next to the Audi RS Girls so it wasn' that hard to miss.

I bought mine from Dunstable Kites by mail order, they've got a web site if you google for it. Less than a tenner for 6 metres

Jeff Morgan took this piccy of a 9metre flagpole firmly strapped to my rollbar at Castle Combe yesterday. There's about 10ft of pole and a lot more flags out of shot
Could see it all from all over the circuit
