Well, just made it back and it was great.

Well done TVR!! Both finished - massive achievement.

We left Houx at 11am and made the Eurotunnel terminal in 4 hours 30 mins . To say we were motoring would be an understatement . Didn't see any French cops the whole way back.

Roll on next year!!!

Yup I'm back too. First Le Mans and loved it And since we know what everything is like we know how to make it cheaper and still enjoy it, like getting a Start/Finish Straight Grandstand seat

Definetly going next year, even if a bit close to my Yr 9 SATS But I'm sure we'll figure out something.

got back home in time for the last 5 minutes of the footy.............hmmmmm, maybe I should have driven a bit slower!!

We left LM at 4pm, watching TV at home in Wimbledon in open mouthed horror at 9.30pm - not bad timing, I reckon!!

top weekend all round, especially the TVR's finishing!

Highlight was our crew joining in the driver's parade on Friday, as we jumped the barriers 5 times to "We're not worthy!!" Colin McRae - top fun!

cheers

when i first went 2 years ago it was right in the middle of my A levels...

i didn't realise this when i booked it, but luckily my exams fell either side* of le mans...

*not strictly true apparantly, during an exam the teacher said "ooh, Gareth is late, is he coming does anyone know?" which a mate replied with "er, i doubt it... he's in france!"

it was only an RE exam though that i didn't even know i had so it doesn't matter!

Took us 5 hours Le Mans to Calais last night with a break for food, loos etc.

Even stuck close to the limit...Most of the way.

Still a long trek, 12 hours door to door for us and 2 hours sleep before back to work.

Next year, I have NO plans to work at while over there.

Managed Houx Annexe -> Eurotunnel in just a touch under 4 hours. Sat at the speed limit until I got to the autoroute and then nailed it.

I figured le rozzers would pull the 355s/Cerbies I was following rather than my dusty E-Class (500E)

LHD made it easy aswell... !

we decided to leave for dieppe last night after watching the footie in the lotus-seven club and stay there to catch the seacat at lunch time.
managed to get to alencon on the non toll road fine then decided to use the toll road and managed to get on the wrong way back towards le mansi've never cussed and smacked the steering wheel so much ever before!!i blame the england football team.

relieved and amazed to get back without any car probs as the tuscan hadn't been driven for 2 years!

can't wait for next year as we'll know the place better and must remember to pack a fridge and a swimming pool and some more bog roll!!and a little scooter so i don't have to walk so much!!

only downer was some scummers trying to break into our cars as we watched the finish!luckily our friendly neighbours managed to get security to deal with them. turns out they were english people. fu**ing w**kers!

roll on 2005
