music for le mans
Discussion
ok, so my plan to have large speakers mounted on the outside of the Masser blasting out 'Ride Of The Valkyries' has fallen through, so instead I've just been out and bought a bunch of CD's for the trip down.
So I got
Frankie - Pleasuredome - for - two tribes
Van Halen - Van Halen - for - ain't talin bout love
so I'm stuck in an eighties rock thing today.
Whats going to be blasting out of your stereo on the way down?

A home-made compilation which includes Guns and Roses -Sterophonics - REM - David Gray - Lighthouse Family - Chris Issak ...plus the compulsory Pink Floyd's Dark side of the Moon & Queens Greatest Hits...thats should do until I get to Dover... wonder what I should have for the rest of the way down..
Le Mans anthems that have been enamelled in my head are:
Neil Diamond: Sweet Caroline
All Saints: Never ever
(both firm kareoke fave's in camping bleu)
Crowded House: Weather with you - Fantastic with the roof down & the sun out
Led Zepp, Black Sab or Deep Purple for all other occasions
