Looking for campsite 'outside' Le Mans -any ideas?

Don't know if anyone knows of a website where I can look up campsites located outside the immediate Le Mans area (up to 20mins drive away), or, has anyone stayed in one. I'm not looking for anything other than a place to pitch a couple of tents for the Saturday night (most of which will be spent at the circuit) - any suggestions?

There are a few camping tickets inside Le Mans up for grabs at the moment. Why not use one of them?

La vieux moulin in Neuville sur Sarthe - nice site and about 15 mins away.


Does get booked up pretty early though.

Camping opposite Expo Centre.

Last year, arrived 18:00 Friday, no camping passes.

Site open directly opposite Expo Centre, 20 Euros 3 nights, valid passes etc, approx 300 people stayed until Monday.

Also, Total garage 500 metres away with shower, clean toilet and restaurant.

I'm reliably informed this will be available again this year on a turn up and pay basis.

I'm staying at Ecommoy for the 2nd time. It's the best located municipal campsite as you don't have to go through Le Mans town to get to the circuit. Have a look at www.just-tickets.co.uk for details of the municipal campsites available. Or give them a call
