Undoubtedly the highlight of the weekend for me. I hope this might be a tap on the shoulder of the powers that be that Group C was and is the way forward for sport scar racing, people liked it and it worked, this we all know as a good thing!
I’ve stuck my head above the parapet already on the subject of lap times stating that the turbo Jag could out qualify the Audi in the main event. With the ‘Big Datsun’ in the line-up in the form of the RC90K and its IMSA cousin, these leviathans knocked out over 1000bhp in qualifying. I think it was Mark Blundell who proudly boasted that it would spin its wheels in top gear on Mulsanne, now that is serious power. With anything near that type of power next weekend there is a damn good chance that the Audi (or the big Golf as my own group know it best) will not be as quick.
Discuss? (again)

I think a dark horse may well be the Kremer 962. A handy driver entered by the original team - the car could probably find its own way round!
I still can`t see them challenging the Audi times though - in fact I reckon they`ll be nearer the Corvette/Maranello times. Tyre technology, top-notch drivers and the sheer resources of a modern team should see to that.
I would love to be wrong though.

Thanks for that.
