I also drove my 1977 AMV8 through Rouen both ways. Never saw any sign of anyone checking and only a couple of very obscure signs (red circle with blobs of colour beneath). Maybe just lucky.

Last year I went via Yvetot and it's at least 1/2 an hour extra and loads of extra pollution @15mpg.

I do have a toll-tag though. Brilliant except when bell-ends go through the only tele gate and get stuck.

We spoke to the Uber driver in Rouen and he seemed to think the camera's aren't set up yet. I did end up buying a Crit Air sticker anyway just to be safe.

Each of our group got one just in case, we skirted Rouen on the way down, didn't even think about it when travelling back through there early Monday am as there was nothing obvious to say whether we were in the zone or not.

Only things worthy of note in Rouen were:

  • A local in an old 5 series estate aggressively pushing in front of me in a queue and then promptly @rse ending a transit car transporter...
  • Sharing one of the tunnels with the Greta Thunberg stickered up mustang, that woke us right up!!

Enjoyed the Rouen tunnels in a slightly freer flowing (and raspy) M2C
