Incredible driving from Estre. I'm not convinced the Porsche is quick enough overall, it looked wild and they can't drive it like that for 24 hours.

I'm rooting for Ferrari but I'll be just as happy if Cadillac pull it off. Both appear have the pace.

The Alpines look planted to me. Plus Toyota seem to be quietly going about their business

The Isotta, as slow as the overall achieved laptime is, could cause people some issues for as long as it runs. It is phenomenally fast on the straights, visibly quicker through the kink(s) between Mulsanne corner and Indianapolis than the other Hypercars. This may cause frustrations.

Probably as much as the P2s are getting frustrated with the Hypercars as whilst the P2s are slower on the straights, they're quicker through the corners.

Praying for sunny rain.

Ps, finally mentioned that Caddy penalty.
Reading reports on Autosport, Sportscar 365 and Daily Sportscar, none of the reporters had a clue about the Cadillac penalty

Sportscar 365 did manage to mention it in a report later in the evening

What chance any of them or the TV crew remembering 51 & 83 Ferraris have 10 second penalties at their first pitstops in the race for pit lane infractions

Hope so for both - #7 Toyota's opening stint's going to be manic with 20 cars to try & get past.

Secondly - if you havent already, the Cadillac Documentary which came out this week is really interesting and really sets the scene for their race this weekend, worth a watch. Its really good to see them doing well and looking like they can challenge, and praise the lord for that magical 5 and half litre naturally aspirated V8 - in 2024 these kind of things just feel all the more special.

Hopefully someone on site will confirm it sounds as good as it does through the TV!

Really looking forward to Hyperpole tonight!
I can confirm that it sounds amazing.

The LMGT3 Huracans sound incredible too.

Really? I don't think they do. The Mustangs and Lexus sound much better.

I prefer the sound of the Huracans to the Mustangs and Lexus'. There's no right answer here, it's subjective.

Ooh, starting to look a little bit like a car. Good luck to them, it was a proper mess that arrived back at the garage last night.

During FP4 there was an interesting interview on RLM with an American guy who's part of the Hertz management. Worth a listen if you can find it.

Just bumped into a guy from Jota who says the rebuild is going well.

That was just about a bare tub only at 9pm last evening so brilliant progress.

All they get is a quick blast on the airport runway tonight and I'd forgotten that Saturday warm-up is only 15 minutes these days. So not much time to dial it in - but Jota are as experienced as it gets when it comes to LM and I guess they have all the data from FP.

They should take heart from the experience of the #92 Manthey Porsche at Spa - rebuilt from a bag of bits and went on to finish 2nd in class.

Was it really over 40 years ago ? Feels like yesterday.

Parking up at LM in my RS along with convoy buddies in a Midget & an XK120…
