Going to be needed a reliable run around, always liked the Honda e- anything to look for? Is the range correct at circa 120 commuter miles? For circa £10k, small etc, they seem like an interesting choice?

Love ‘em,apart from the real world range. We went i3 solely because of that. Good luck on your research.

Wonderful cars, very high quality, superb drivers car

Range will be between 70-120 miles depending on time of year and driving style

120 miles is probably doable, but I tend to just think 100 miles is the norm, mainly because it’s such an easy car to hoof around in. Really love ours. Funnily enough I had a call from my Honda dealer today asking if they could buy mine.

We’ve a phev that does 50miles on battery, so double that is perfect for what we need.

Are there measurements for the boot size anywhere?

Had one and was a lovely car, lovely place to be, great turning circle, good suspension. App was hopeless mind.

The range killed it, having to stop 4 times on a trip to Wales made it unworkable too often. If it's defo a second or third car, and you'll never need to take it far, then yes, it's great. Otherwise I'd be a bit more wary.

Timely, I have been looking at getting another i3 as a local runaround, but had forgotten about the Honda e.

Whats poor about the app? As long as its reliable for preheating in winter thats all I would worry about.

Also, what's rear space like for small children in forward facing isofix seats, if anyone has experience.

I think the Honda e looks great. It was on my shortlist when I got my i3 last year but it beats the Honda e hands down on range and acceleration. They were also a bit pricey at the time, IIRC about £4-5k more than the i3?

Another that had it on my shortlist, but ultimately went i3s.

It's a shame, as I really like the Honda, but the battery and performance isn't really on par with the Mini Electric, let alone the i3.

Doesn't make it a bad choice, if you want one and can make it work, you absolutely should. This is PH, more people should buy what they *want* and accept it's not perfect biggrin

I gave up early on with the app, couldn't get it to work at all.

Boot is very small.

For a car with such a great suspension setup and sticky tyres, the seats are disappointing - neither comfortable or supportive imo.

Much as I love mine, its going in a couple of months as a stonking deal on an Alpine A290 GTS came up, and the extra range will come in handy.

I will be sad to see it go.

I had one for a day, it failed the weekly shopping test as the boot is too small and boot floor too high and I couldn't live with the range. I bought an I3S.

My neighbours have one and I always give it a second look when I go past. It's a great looking small car, especially in the metallic red like there's. They tell me range is only 150km (so less than 100 miles) though. Great city roundabout but less appealing if you need to drive any sort of distance.

The charge port on top of the bonnet would give me concerns. I'm sure there's a drain pipe outlet somewhere but what happens in really heavy rain? Or a heavy downfall and accumulation of snow? What if it gets blocked by leaves?

NB. I note my neighbours now have a Polestar on their driveway. Not sure if it's a second car for them or a visitor but it's been there for a few weeks and the Honda is keeping it company.

We have one as a second car. I have never had 200km range, I would say it is possible… but expect it would be painfully slow.
Otherwise it’s a fun car… nice steering, handling is also good… ride is a little bit off, a fair chunk of pitching. On the plus side it drifts.

Surprised at that, I wouldn’t have said it pitches at all, in fact I’d say the ride is one of the standout features, particularly for a car in its class.

Do you need to use the app to pre-heat the car, or is there a button on the key that can do it like the i3?

I'd get annoyed with an unreliable app on a frosty cold morning.
