I've been in one. Nice car actually. Roof is a talking point. Had 2 pedals though... wink

I didn't think it had been out long?

Nice car to sit in, really liked the driving position. But the rear is cramped for three people, nothing like the old school Scenics...booo.

Nooo! Glad we've already ordered one without this. Hopefully they can over-the-air the one-pedal driving though!

From the site:

Smooth and relaxed driving with One Pedal

One Pedal may be retrofitted onto vehicles that already have steering-wheel paddles (with a free-of-charge update at a Renault network garage or over the air)."

My neighbour has asked me to help them into one of these, I know nothing about them. I assume they're a relatively new model? Any thoughts good or bad?

I don't know which battery option they're interested in but I assume I ought to persuade them into the bigger one?

We’ve had one for about six months now. Really like it.

They’ve canned the smaller battery now, so only the long range model is available.

IMHO, the Techno gives you all the spec you need, with smaller wheels and higher profile tyres for better range, less susceptibility to punctures and a cushier ride. Updated pricing keeps it below £40k too.

I will concede that the 20 inch wheels on the Esprit Alpine do look better though!

When I was looking there was only one thing that was a negative with this model. That was the height of the loading lip which is about 150mm or so higher than that of the estate I chose, plus the load space rear seats up or folded a bit smaller. Otherwise it was no contest.

To be fair the price of the Renault was a fair bit more than the bargain I got but much closer now.

As someone else said Techno LR all the kit you need, and meatier tyre sidewalls too, considering the tank trap potholes on Shropshire roads would be desirable.

Thanks both, sounds encouraging.
