I found out that Octopus doesn't give you a charging schedule when there are no green days (i.e. excess power generation is negligible).
See https://octopus.energy/smart/greener-days/
My Octopus EV app wouldn't show as connected to vehicle and while my vehicle app would show as plugged but not charging.
However, the EV would charge at night as usual.

I think this is exactly as Intelligent Go was supposed to work from the start, guaranteed cheap rate at night, additional cheap rate when excess power available. My experience with an Ohme charger, was that until recently, it would schedule cheap rate charging at almost any time, which was great for the end user, but not really very intelligent.
Should still be able to charge at anytime by selecting max charge (assuming there is a similar option on your set up) and just pay full rate.

That also coincided with a rise in the number of saving sessions lately.
One just landed, despite the fact that today is apparently a green day.

What has happened to all the power up sessions? They seem to be very limited now in East of England, even when sunny and windy

I've been getting a charging schedule every time I plug in for over 2 years. Most of the time, I'm plugging in at 6am with a low battery and I end up getting a schedule for off peak charging for the entire day, except for around 6pm for 1 hour or so.

That's what I used to have before. I am on Zappi btw. Not sure what happened since beginning of the month. Had a good 12 months. Maybe I should try rebooting the Zappi

You 'found out' that the only guaranteed cheap charging hours are the guaranteed ones? scratchchin

Although in fairness I've never not been given a daytime schedule when I've needed to charge, so I can understand it's a bit surprising when it does happen. It was always a bonus extra though, not to be taken for granted I guess. Also 6 hours guaranteed a night is more than enough for most drivers.
