Bought my wife a 73plate Mini Level 3 yesterday having had one previously as a station car / school runner.

Previous one had a 3pin charger with it, I’ve gone to charge it this afternoon and there’s no 3pin charger! Thought that was part of the basic kit? Now have a car on the drive that’s almost flat and no way to charge it - not helped by the fact that we are rural and not close to any public chargers.

Should this be standard?

Certainly don’t see the point in a wall charger as it’s only a little battery and can be topped up overnight easily on a 3pin.

Fairly standard now, most EVs only come with a Type 2 to Type 2 cable.

Ours was an ex demo that came with the Type 2 and Granny Charger.

Have to agree about the wall box. If we hadn't already got one, we wouldn't have bothered. It isn't really needed as the granny charger would do 50-60 miles over 6 hours.

Our 70 plate mini certainly came with a granny charger - and that's all we need.

Maybe order one from amazon for deliver tomorrow?

Excellent - thanks for that; I’ll send them that once I’ve spoken to them tomorrow. I’ve also noticed that there’s no floor mats and they should be standard too.

Good luck, seems a standard thing!
Failing that, the Masterplug one at Screwfix seems ok.

3 pin charger ( plus fast ac charging cable ) and front floor mats were standard equipment. Done 10,000 miles in our 2022 SE and only paid twice for a fast charge ( one was a test and one I probably didn’t need) with all the rest at home on 3 pin.

I bought the car from a main dealer and paid for the privilege so expect the multipoint check list to at least cover the standard items it’s supposed to have!

Good spot, it might be there!

Anyway I confirm it was delivered as standard with ours (and it was right underneath the false floor!)

I wouldn't necessarily expect a second hand car to come with all the "standard" equipment.

I know that one is often recommended, but it has recently been getting bad reviews.

I wouldn't advise drawing 16A from a UK 3-pin socket.

It's weird it's rated at 16a, nothing that comes with a plug fitted should exceed 13a. That makes me question how it was even ablecto be certified for sale on the UK.

Provided the socket and circuit it's on is healthy, you could pull quite a bit more than 16a through it, but the concern I would have is if that the charger itself may not meet UK safety requirements - based solely on the fact I can't see how a device that is designed to exceed the current draw of the plug it's supplied with can meet those standards.

Most portable chargers are capable of Level 2 ("fast") charging. My Tesla one goes all the way up to 32a - if it is fitted with a suitable commando connector and hooked up to a suitable power supply.

With a 3-pin plug? 10a if it is happy with the power being supplied, 8a or even 6a if it detects the socket is wobbly bobbly. Thats the car dialling the charge speed down by itself...

We’re charging our new to us e2008 from a Masterplug 3 pin charger. I’m pleased we went for the longer cable. The car only does about 50 miles / day and it works fine. A few hours overnight and the battery is in a good state of charge. We’re not going to bother with a wall box charger unless the mileage drastically increases.

Forgot to say I bought the charger from Halfords for around £150. Screwfix do the same one.
