I think I am falling into overthinking this choice and would welcome some informed input.

I have a weekly commute from Ely to Farnborough, driving down on an early Tue and back home Thu after work, this is approx 100 miles each way. Sometimes I have access to a 3 pin plug Farnborough end but otherwise assume I have to pay for any charge to get me home. The car will also be used for normal family business, football on a Saturday (40 miles down the A14 to Ipswich), trips to the coast etc. I don’t currently have a home charger. Budget is £22k’ish.

I am thinking electric for the reduced cost of travel and also because the two cars I have narrowed it down to take some of the stress out of commuting around the M25 with adaptive cruise, lane control etc. I am quite sensitive to road noise and find it fatiguing and annoying to listen to for extended periods.

For - The battery should get me to Farnborough and back without any extra charging away from home. If and when I do need to charge from home the Supercharger network is good and also cheaper then alternatives. Autopilot is pretty good and will likely get better with updates. I quite like the look of the car from the outside.
Against - Road noise is mentioned in nearly all the reviews I have read/watched, some have said they can reduce this with sound deadening kits (I am reasonably handy and can fit this myself). The minimalist inside is a bit uninspiring to my 52 year old eyes. Battery will be in Tesla warranty but the car won’t be.

For - I can just get into a Jaguar approved used for my money (perhaps with a little stretch). This brings 2 years Jag warranty and a free charger. I really like the interior/exterior and from reviews it’s a great commuter, comfortable and quiet.
Against - Might need a charge to get home on a Thu? Reliability doesn’t seem as good as the Tesla but is balanced with a warranty for 2 years.

I retire from my current job in 2 1/2 years and therefore either car will be kept until then. Heart says Jag, head says Tesla. Have I made any incorrect assumptions or missed anything?

Tesla for me

You know you'll be able to make the trip without charging

When out and about, the Tesla network is second to none and improving rapidly

Reliability is good and running costs are minimal (no servicing)

Plenty of choice, it's a real buyers market for all EVs currently..

If I have read correctly and the journey is approx 200 miles the Ipace will do that easily. Mine gets 240-270miles on a full charge depending on the temperature.

I love my ipace, quick and actually able to get around corners with a degree of enthusiasm. Made the transition to electric much easier as I enjoy driving it. I would actually say it's better than my Stelvio was.

Issues since Feb when it arrived, lose wire under passenger seat sometimes turns the airbag light on but insulation tape has fixed it.

The 2020 HSEs also have everything on them like 360 cam, meridian surround etc.
