One of my YouTube subscriptions (Hazell Nutz) posted a couple of days ago about the company that started making the Arrival vans.
I've never heard of them before so if anyone is interested here's the link: https://youtu.be/63R3mt61g_Y?feature=shared

They entered Administration in February this year, as well as private funding they had Hyundai & Kia (€100m investments) on board as well as agreements with UPS, Uber & Royal Mail. What went wrong?

The simple thing that went wrong is that they tried to do far too much. At one point they were developing a car, van, bus, and plane!

They were also far too ambitious with doing everything in house rather than using established suppliers. This reduced as development went on but originally they planned to make everything themselves except tyres. Absolute madness.

Sad to hear that, saw them a couple of times on some youtube videos, also saw one of them delivery vans at a trade show.
Looked like an interesting concept, I'd be curious to hear what went wrong as they seemed to have a product that people really want.
