I'm just replacing my 4 year old model 3, with a mercedes EQA 250+. I opted for it, as on company car terms, it was considerably cheaper than a Kia EV6, tesla (3 or y), Polestar or anything else more interesting. I wouldnt have looked at teh EQA if it wasnt £2k a year cheaper for me.

I wanted more range, I've spent way too much time at superchargers (my model 3 only really achieves . So I (surprisingly) opted for the entry level model the 250+ sport ex, as it had the biggest battery, smallest wheels and longest range.

Has anyone else got a 250+, exec sport? what is the max milage you have gotten from it? I am hoping that the 348 advertised range will give me at least 250 real world miles?, as my tesla (4 year old before the heat pump) only gets 150-60 from its advertised 227 miles.

Can’t comment on the comparative quality of the EQA but in terms of range in my Tesla M3 RWD highland I recently did c150 motorway miles (average of 65mph) and used only 50% of the battery…that’s a full range of 300 miles and I’m sure the merc won’t get anywhere near that. Was c15 degrees outside temp, AC off, but fan on. Car fully loaded with kids/luggage etc. at lower speeds the car will easily do 300+ miles too.

With a 70.5kWh useable battery 250 miles should be achievable in the summer (3.5 miles/kWh) but I would imagine that will drop to nearer 200 in winter dependent on usage?

i never saw much drop off in the winter on my tesla's range, but didnt use it when really cold as it was "entertaining" on ice.

On our 4th EV in 5 years now (including a Model 3 P) and they all drop off to some degree. Tesla the best I agree, as they are with everything to do with efficiency. A 20% drop (250>200) would be about par for the course for most EV's IME.
