Fisker slash prices by $24k
Discussion
Fisker appear to be in a world of pain. They have announced a sale/price reduction in US starting 29/03/24 of -£24k. That brings the entry car down to $25k. Apparently some stock cars have paint and wheel options included that alone have a price of $7k.
This looks very much like a fire sale but unless they release the API etc these could become very heavy paperweights.
Thoughts?

Well they haven't REALLY launched in the UK yet, so I would think few people would have an opinion about them (Fisker) and their financial health?
I don't.
There are 3 used on autotrader, £50k, £58k and £60k. I looked earlier to see if any demonstrators were listed at sensible prices.I don't.

Have seen a couple being offered on consumer to trade websites with reserves close to list by the “early adopters”. Reality has clearly slapped them down when the bid offers are £15k less.
I looked at registering an interest when they were announced. They then went to a model whereby only one leasing company were offering lease options. I then gave up as it all seemed a bit odd. I’m UK based and believe the offer is on US stock starting tomorrow. I saw it on Reddit yesterday.

Only £15k down? Reality has clearly slapped them down when the bid offers are £15k less.
I was thinking it might be worth a punt at £20k - £25k. No way I would risk more than that.
The stock price drop appears to have been driven by the video by MKBHD, a very large tech youtuber - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xWXRk3yaSw&t=...

Which is bizarre, as basically it’s just software bugs and he even says in his video that updates are incoming but only makes it clear in the comments that this was a pre-production car.Rough101 said:

They got good reviews generally but some software glitches let it down. Couple that with the seeming slowdown of EV's and people in that price range probably wanting to go with established names with such new technology and there you go.... The silly thing is that they're made by Magna Steyr who also make the i-pace, BMW Z4, BMW 5 series.... Maybe they should be promoting that fact - and get the guy (Terrence Reilly) who managed to get the world hooked on Crocs shoes and those Stanley cups!
