EV stops charging after a few minutes

Hi Guys!

I got a MG M4 long range delivered around 3 weeks ago, and I have some charging issues.

It charges fine at fast charging stations but the problem is when I charge the car at home. There are 5 Pod Point stations in my building (for home owners use) and after I plug in my cable, the car starts charging fine but it stops after a few minutes.

I tried on all the 5 Pod Points, I tried inserting the cable in the charging pod first and then in the car, I tried the other way around... I tried initiating the charge from the app... from the infotainment system... and it is always the same.

I thought it was an issue with the cable and bought another cable, but it does exactly the same. It cannot be an issue with the Pod Point stations as all the other cars in the building use them with no problem...

Do you have any idea what the issue might be?

I called MG and they booked me an appointment in.... 40 days!!!!

It's not connected to Octopus intelligent it? That's what happens when it is waiting to schedule a charge.

Are these Public Pod Points ?
With Pod Point you have to "confirm the charge" in the App else it stops after about five minutes.

Try a public untethered 7/22kW charger, this should show if it's a car issue or not - assuming that the car doesn't have some kind of scheduling set up.

Any charging timers set in the car/app?
My wife’s phev, set the charging 100% 0000-0500
If it thinks it can’t get 100% in during that window, it throws a wobbler.
Set to 0000-0600 it’s happy!
