My company car lease for my model 3 long range is up at the end of November.

its been a good car. What options are out there? Id like a 200mile motorway range, Fisker ocean?

Ideally id get a hatch back or somewhere I can cram the dogs in? Lease allowance is circa £600 a month(before VAT), on a 3+35 type setup. Needs to be maintained on 12k pa.

easy/boring option is a Model y?

Not sure a Fisker is a good idea, given their precarious financials and some of the less than positive reviews.

A Model Y is the simplest answer - still nothing really touches the combination of efficiency, practicality, cost, performance, low running costs and the supercharger network. The "Juniper" facelift may well be out by then which may mean some very good deals on the current model when it launches.

I’m not a fan of the way the model Y looks but it’s a brilliant EV tbh. How about the Enyaq or Merc EQB? There’s the new IX2 aswell, that should accomodate some dogs.

The ID7 estate is out in a few months. I’ve just ordered the hatch version, I found it to be a cracking car on the long term test drive.

I’m replacing my Model 3 LR with a Volvo EX30. Should do 200 miles on the motorway unless hammering. I fancied something smaller and better looking but with most of the positive attributes of the Tesla. Efficiency isn’t as good though. The logical option is the Y. At least you don’t have to look at it when you’re inside.

Renault Scenic e-tech? No it’s not a premium brand but it appears to offer decent spec, efficiency and range.

Just watch for the deep boot with the dogs. I believe a variable height boot floor is available

I'm in a simlar position (except the dogs biggrin) Tesla Model 3 leases have significantly increased in the last 2.5yrs, maybe 25%, so a replacement isn't rerally viable with our budget.

The BMW I5 edrive40 is pretty good value on leases now (cheaper than the model 3) so I'm going for one of those. They are not a hatch but the estate versiob is out soon or even now.

I’m not worried about the financials(company car). Where are the reviews poor? I did think the fisher ocean had positive ones!

Not really a fan of the id7, every electric Vw I’ve been in has felt a little cheap.

N version would be a fun option. No idea on the lease cost though.

Appear to be a lot of software issues and missing features. OTA updates are supposed to fix these, but are slow in coming through. Feels like the first tranche of drivers/owners are doing the beta testing.

So they might have sorted it for me by the end of the year biggrin

C40 is nice but you may miss the performance of a Tesla….

I like my Polestar 2, it’s got a hatch but it’d depend on how big your dogs are. 2024 models are almost Model 3 efficiency.

Charge port in the same position as Tesla, making using open Superchargers a breeze. And there’s only going to be more open ones going forward.

Or, as you subconsciously put in the thread title… the Q4 e-Tron is quite nice.

I don’t think I will. They’re all as quick as each other sat on the motorway.

Polestar 2 is a good shout. I’ve got 2 pointers. Q4 is just a bit poor on range isn’t it?

Model Y LR. Boring answer but if you're after 200+ miles of year round range + decent practicality for a reasonable lease price it's the obvious answer and best overall package.

I'd avoid the Fisker like the plague unless you want to be a guinea pig for technical issues and end up with a car who's manufacturer goes bust after 6 months.
