Can anyone recommend a charger.
I currently have a basic 7kW charger and since the Jag block, I'm having to use some day rate tariff when charging.

Octopus lists tons of makes and their models but doesn't differentiate between compatible and not.
I see Ohme, Wallbox and Myenergi come up in Octopus but are there others ?

Cheers.

My Ohme has been great - set schedule once and it's basically just plug in and forget.
I've only had to restart it once in 4 years due to some signal bug probably.

I spoke to Octopus yesterday as my Wallbox Pulsar Max isn’t communicating with Octopus for smart charging. It works fine if I want to charge the car but not scheduled by Octopus so not getting the cheap rate outside of 2330-0530.

I was told they’re no longer supplying Wallbox chargers and that it was possible they aren’t supporting them anymore which could be causing my issues. She didn’t know for sure so hopefully it’s just a glitch with mine but I’ certainly wouldn’t recommend a Wallbox based on my experience and the fact they may not support them on Intelligent Octopus going forward.

Can you keep the dumb changer and have the schedule control from the Jag (this is what I do with the Tesla)

Got an Ohme Pro and it seems to work with Intelligent.

Octopus no longer support JLR so you’d need a compatible charger to use IO.

We have a Wallbox charger, and has been faultless since fitting and works fine with Octopus.

Used an Ohme on IO with my previous iPace without issue (Ohme Cable in my case).

However before committing I would ask if the recent Jaguar API changes will cause issues with Ohme (it needs to get state of charge from the API).

It might just be a case of the blocked "control" level actions i.e starting/stopping charge on the car which wouldn't affect the charger but worth a check before committing.

My concern with the Ohme charger is that the LED screen will be facing the road and may attract unwelcome attention.
I can look at screening it and you've had good experience.
Thanks.

When I looked on Octopus, the Wallbox was one of only three on their list, so a little surprising.
I hope they don't let you down.

To stay on my dumb charger the I-Pace would need me to stay on or above around 70% charged to avoid peak tariff.

That's a very good point, thanks.

I use an Easee charger with OIG. Works fine (not with a Jag, but a BMW)

Using mine on Agile rather than Intelligent but can’t fault it.

Ohme seem to be the most widely compatible should you want to switch to OVO or another provider in future.

The untethered one has no screen.

You can set the screen on the tethered one to switch off after a few minutes inactivity, or I guess you could just put some gorilla tape over it, you never need to actually look at the screen

Not compatible on Intelligent Go which is what the OP is wanting.

Easee charger is not integrated with Intelligent Go.

In your case your using your BMW for the integration, not the charger as it's not compatible.
